As a writer and editor over the last decade, Angela Shawn-Chi Lu has worked previously at Los Angeles Magazine, MTV News, ArtSlant, The Deli Magazine, 20 trade magazines, Venus Zine and The Daily Bruin. A lifelong musician, she has composed, studied and performed everything from classical piano to the blues, jazz and experimental rock on electric guitar, traditional Chinese music on the pipa and erhu, and electronic music.
